Asia Map Quiz: click every Asian country on the map

A map zoomed to Asia, 45 countries, ten free rounds. No sign-up, works on any device.

Tap the country on the map. Hover or focus a shape to check its name first.

Asia is both the largest continent in WorldQuizr's dataset and the one with the widest range of country sizes, and this page scopes the Map Quiz down to exactly that: all 45 Asian countries are on the map, from small Gulf states like Qatar and Kuwait up to China, the largest country in the pool by area. The map is cropped and zoomed to the continent rather than shown on a full 172-country world map, so a small Gulf state stays a visible shape instead of a few stray pixels. A handful of the very smallest -- more on a phone than on desktop -- sit outside the question pool itself, since a shape too small to see fairly isn't a fair question; they remain fully visible and clickable regardless. Ten rounds, one click each: hover or focus any shape first to check its name, then click. A results screen shows your accuracy as a percentage and a short review list of anything you missed. This uses the same click-to-answer map engine as the worldwide Map Quiz and the Europe Map Quiz, just scoped to Asia.

Why Asia's map crop needs extra room

Asia's 45 countries run from Georgia and Armenia in the Caucasus to Japan and the Philippines in the Pacific, and from Mongolia's vast, thinly-populated interior down to compact Gulf states like Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. That spread makes a full unzoomed world map a genuinely bad way to play a continent-scoped quiz: a country that's small on a global scale can be perfectly easy to see once the view is limited to Asia alone, which is exactly what the crop here does -- the same viewBox-cropping technique used on the Europe Map Quiz, sized to Asia's own 45-country bounding area instead.

Asian countries that are easy to miss

Even zoomed in, a handful of countries reward an extra look before you click: Brunei, Bhutan, Lebanon, Qatar and Timor-Leste are all compact enough to sit close to a larger neighbour. Hovering or focusing a shape shows its name first, which is the fastest way to build a mental map of exactly where each of these sits before you have to commit under time pressure.

How a round works here

Each Asia Map Quiz session is ten rounds. Every round names one of the 45 Asian countries and asks you to click its shape on the cropped map; hovering or focusing any shape first shows its name, so you can double-check before committing. A correct click updates your streak and score immediately, a miss resets the streak but never ends the session, and after ten rounds you get a results screen with your score, your accuracy as a percentage, and a short review list of anything you missed with the correct country named next to it.

Your best Asia Map Quiz score is saved locally in your own browser, kept separate from your worldwide Map Quiz score. See the privacy policy for exactly what that local storage does, and does not, touch.

Testing a different continent

The Europe Map Quiz and Africa Map Quiz use the same cropped-map engine, scoped to their own continent's country pool. All three share the same underlying map geometry and country data as the unscoped Map Quiz -- sourced once, verified, and kept current rather than quietly left outdated.

Frequently asked questions

How many countries can I click on in the Asia Map Quiz?
45, from Georgia to Japan -- every one of them is on the map and clickable. A handful of the tiniest ones (it varies by screen size, more on a phone than on desktop) are left out of the question pool itself, since a shape only a few pixels wide isn't a fair question; they stay fully visible and clickable on the map either way.
Is Kazakhstan classified as Europe or Asia in this quiz?
Asia. Kazakhstan is a transcontinental country -- roughly 90% of its territory sits in Central Asia, with a small western sliver crossing the Ural River into Europe -- but WorldQuizr classifies it as Asian, so it appears here rather than on the Europe Map Quiz.
Is Turkey in the Asia Map Quiz?
Yes. WorldQuizr classifies Turkey as part of Asia, alongside its Caucasus neighbours Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, rather than Europe.
Which country in the Asia Map Quiz shares the most land borders?
China, which borders 14 other countries in total -- including several also in this quiz, such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. China is tied with Russia for the most land borders of any country in the world.
